Skinny Sweets Detroit founders, husband and wife duo Ronnie and Heather, stumbled into the chocolate-making game when Ronnie wanted to surprise his wife with chocolates for Valentine's Day.

Due to an autoimmune disorder, Heather had to adopt an extremely strict diet and, always being by her side, Ronnie took on the challenging diet himself in support.

Through trial and error, and many late nights, Ronnie finally perfected the gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, decadent chocolate recipe to surprise Heather.
